A man claims Hindman threatened him in July with a semiautomatic handgun during an argument over rent payment.

About a month later, the man told police that Hindman again threatened him with a gun.  He said they had a disagreement during a discussion about her job, according to police.

Hindman was arrested after the information came to light and taken to jail.

Hindman was not supervising inmates in her most recent role with the department.
