Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo suffers facial fracture

Guard out indefinitely with injury, team says

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo suffered a facial fracture in practice Thursday and will be out indefinitely, the team said on Friday.

Oladipo, a second-year player, was injured after being hit with an inadvertent elbow during a practice drill, the Magic said.

He will undergo surgery on Saturday, according to the team.

The 6-foot, 4-inch Oladipo has not played this preseason because of a sprained MCL in his left knee.

Last season, he played in 80 games, starting 44, and averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

Orlando begins the 2014-15 regular season Tuesday at New Orleans.
