Alert canceled for missing Fla. boy with autism

8-year-old Peyton Kyler Blodgett located, officials say


MACCLENNY, Fla. – Authorities on Monday canceled a missing child alert for an 8-year-old autistic Florida boy.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing child alert for Peyton Kyler Blodgett over the weekend after he disappeared in Macclenny.  No details about his recovery were released.

Officials told WJXT-TV that Peyton was visiting his grandmother and her boyfriend for the weekend.  Police said around 12 p.m. Peyton's grandmother and her boyfriend were cleaning up outside the house while Peyton and his 5-year-old sister were in the house. When the couple came back inside Peyton was gone.
