LAKE COUNTY, Fla – The trial of a Lake County deputy accused of sexually battering a woman during a traffic stop has been continued, according to the clerk of courts website.
According to an affidavit, the victim says she and her boyfriend were stopped by Deputy Sheriff Matthew Donnelly after leaving a New Year's party.
The victim says Donnelly put her boyfriend in the patrol vehicle before going back to her car and sexually battering her.
Investigators say they found evidence that supports her claim and found that Donnelly had his dash camera turned off for more than 20 minutes during the alleged encounter.
It's not known when the trial will take place.
