ORLANDO, Fla. – Two guests at Universal Orlando were injured Tuesday morning when a hot water line burst, prompting a partial evacuation, according to officials.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort at 6550 Adventure Way in Orlando.

According to Orlando fire officials, a water line between the first two floors ruptured, causing some flooding.  A couple of hotel guests walked into the water and suffered burns to their feet, officials said.

The guests were taken to Dr. Phillips Hospital with minor injuries, fire officials said.  Universal Orlando later said they were treated and released.

Firefighters turned off power at the resort while investigating the incident and had to evacuate the first floor of the hotel.  Guests affected by the evacuation were relocated to other rooms, fire officials said.

"We are working with our guests on an individual basis to address any inconvenience this has caused them and to make sure they enjoy the rest of their stay with us," Universal said in a statement.

Damage to the hotel was minor, according to Universal, which said repair work is ongoing.
