Cooldown coming to Central Florida

High temperatures in Orlando to be near 90 before cooldown

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida will see another hot day, but a cooldown is coming just in time for the Halloween weekend.

Temperatures will warm to 87 degrees in Orlando on Wednesday, well above the average of 82.  On Tuesday, Orlando also reached 87, just as Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges predicted earlier in the day.

"Increasing moisture at the surface is leading to increasing fog Wednesday morning in Central Florida," Bridges said.  "Visibilities will be reduced along many of out major roadways."

A front will bring a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday afternoon into the evening.

"Rain chances will be at 20 percent for Friday as the front speeds up," Bridges said.  "The trick-or-treating forecast will be dry, with temperatures in the low 70s to upper 60s across Central Florida."

Cooler air moves in for the weekend, with highs reaching 70 degrees on Saturday and 73 on Sunday after cooling into the 40s earlier in the day.
