Bus driver hospitalized; No students on board

A school bus crashes in Altamonte.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A school bus driver was injured Wednesday morning in a crash with a flatbed truck in Seminole County, according to officials.

No students were aboard the bus when the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 436 and San Sebastian Pardo in Altamonte Springs.

School officials said the bus was headed from Spring Lake Elementary School to Bear Lake Elementary School when it was struck while making a turn.

The school bus driver was taken to a hospital, but the condition of the driver was not released.

It's not known if the driver of the truck, which was carrying construction supplies, was injured.
