Man claiming to have gun robs Orlando store

Police release surveillance video

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police are trying to find the man who said he had a gun and robbed a gas station.

It happened at the RaceTrac on South Semoran Boulevard, just north of Hoffner Avenue near Orlando International Airport.

The robbery happened around 3 a.m. on Oct. 29, but police released the surveillance video on Tuesday.

Police say the man  pretended he wanted to make a purchase, but told the clerk he had forgotten his wallet. He then left the store before returning, and demanding the clerk give him all the money in the cash register, said police.

The robber implied he had a gun, by holding his hand inside his sweatshirt, according to police.

Orlando police say the man left the store in a dark colored sedan.

He was described as a white man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with blond hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about this story is urged to call the Orlando Police Department.
