Marion County approves school funding
OCALA, Fla. – Marion County Schools Referendum
Marion County voters on Tuesday approved a millage rate increase by one mill for school operating expenses.
The funds will target reading, physical education, art, music, library/media and vocational programs. The money will also be used to hire and retain state certified teachers to meet state required class size limits.
The referendum will take effect on July 1, 2015, and end on June 30, 2019.
