Orange County Property Tax Referendum
Voters in Orange County on Tuesday voted to renew a 1-mill special property tax.

With 84 percent of precincts reporting, 76 percent of the votes were for the Orange County Property Tax Referendum.
The tax has been used to preserve about 700 teacher positions, while also keeping art in schools and maintaining athletic programs.
The special property tax has been in effect since 2010. The tax will be extended to June 2019.
