FDLE raids Brevard County home on cyber search warrant

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement raided a Brevard County home Wednesday and seized several computers inside, according to agents.

The house is on Patrick Lane in Rockledge, just feet away from Rockledge High School.

Agents tell Local 6 they served a cyber search warrant to Michael Bennett's home around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

While the FDLE won't say anything else about the cyber investigation, Rockledge police did arrest Bennett on drug charges.

Neighbors tell Local 6 Bennett is employed part-time as a digital media lab tech at Eastern Florida State College in Cocoa and mostly keeps to himself.

"I had no idea that things like this were happening so close to me," said Robert Andrews. "It's bizarre and alarming and I'm glad he was apprehended."

Bennett is expected to face a judge at the Brevard County Jail Thursday afternoon.
