Love triangle may have led to shooting of 18-year-old at Orlando 7-Eleven

Police: Victim in stable condition

ORLANDO, Fla. – An 18-year-old woman was shot twice Wednesday at the 7-Eleven at 4335 Silver Star Road, police said.

The shooting happened at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, and investigators told Local 6 they are still actively looking for the man who shot her.

Investigators said it appears the gunman and the victim were part of a love triangle.

Witnesses told police the man approached a group of people and asked for information about a certain man. When he didn't get the information he wanted he pulled out a gun and shot the girl two times.

The 18-year-old, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was in stable condition.

The gunman is still on the loose, but Orlando police are not releasing the suspect's name or a description.

No other information was immediately released.
