High-fashion item sales go to charity

ORLANDO, Fla. – If you love fashion, how about Chanel, Burberry, Louis Vuitton clothing for about half the price? The best part is that all of the money goes to Orlando charities.

Thursday, a fashion show took place with clothing belonging to prominent philanthropist Harriet Lake. More than 5,000 pieces from her closet are up for sale, clothes from the 1950s to now. The sale will continue at Harriett's Closet Warehouse in Longwood from Nov. 8-21.
Proceeds go to Harriett's Boutique for cancer survivors at Orlando Health and Orlando Ballet. Also benefiting from the Warehouse sale is Foundation for Foster Children.

The grand opening is Friday, where all shoppers are asked to make a suggested $10 donation. Nov. 8-21 the Warehouse sale continues daily 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., except Mondays.

All events and sales take place at 902 Waterway Place.
