On select nights in November and December, the park will transform into a wintry wonderland.

Brand new this year, guests will get to see Queen Elsa from the popular movie "Frozen" transform Cinderella's castle into a glistening ice palace.

Brenda Carlson enjoyed the celebration with her grandson after coming down from Boston.

"It was unbelievable: like they say, 'magical,'" Carlson told Local 6.

During Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party, guests also get the chance to watch the famous Christmastime parade, meet Disney characters and watch stage performances.

For Amanda Bucher and David Wells, Friday's event ended in a marriage proposal. They flew in from Austin, Texas, and were engaged with a perfect backdrop of Cinderella's castle behind them.

"I loved Disney as a child, so to have a proposal in front of the castle is magical," said Bucher.

Guests must buy a separate park ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party and tickets start at $67 a person. The parade runs twice at night, at 8:15 and 10:30 p.m.

There are select dates when the park will open for the event:
Nov. 7, 10, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21 and 30
Dec. 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 19
