Osceola County deputies search for missing elderly couple

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing elderly couple.

Deputies on Monday said George and Hortense Iona Salmon were last seen on Nov. 8 in Tampa after driving their daughter to a class.

Their daughter told deputies her parents drove her to Tampa on Friday and they slept in their car and she stayed with friends, according to the report.

On Saturday, the Salmons picked up their daughter and took her to class. During the day, George said he had a headache and wanted to return home to Kissimmee, deputies said.

The daughter told deputies she hasn't seen her parents since.

George is described by deputies as an 83-year old black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown eyes and grey hair. He was wearing black pants, a striped shirt and a hat, deputies said.

Hortense is described by deputies as an 85-year old white female, approximately 4 feet 11 inches tall, 130 pounds and with brown hair and brown eyes.

Deputies said the Salmons were last seen driving a silver, 2011 Toyota Corolla with Florida tag 741MZI.
