Films added to National Film Registry announced

The Library of Congress announced on Wednesday the 25 films being added to the National Film Registry.

Among the films being added are "Saving Private Ryan," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Little Big Man," "The Big Lebowski," "Luxo Jr." and "Rosemary's Baby."

According to a release from the Library of Congress, the films on the registry span the period 1913-2004 and include Hollywood classics, documentaries, silent movies, student films, independent and experimental motion pictures.

There will be 650 films on the registry with these year's additions.
