Man dies in Orlando apartment fire
Cause of blaze under investigation
ORLANDO, Fla. – A man died Wednesday morning in an apartment fire in Orlando, according to officials.
No one else was injured in the fire, which broke out around 7:30 a.m. in a mixed-use building the 300 block of West Colonial Drive near Interstate 4.
Officials described the victim as an elderly man, but his name has not been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The complex has businesses downstairs and apartments on the second floor. The building that housed the apartment was evacuated, but residents and employees were later allowed to return.
