Woman crossing Orlando roadway struck, killed

Victim was not in crosswalk, troopers say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 43-year-old woman trying to cross an Orlando roadway was struck and killed, according to officials.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Michelle Donnelly, of Orlando, died in the crash, which occurred Tuesday night at John Young Parkway near South Park Circle.

The FHP said Donnelly was hit by a four-door Ford while walking to a 7-Eleven.  She was not in a crosswalk, troopers said.

Northbound lanes of John Young Parkway were blocked during an investigation.

The driver, a 58-year-old Orlando woman, was not injured, troopers said.

The FHP initially identified the victim as a 58-year-old woman.
