Crash backs up westbound SR 408 in Orange County

Several injuries reported, fire officials say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Several people have been injured in a crash that has backed up westbound lanes State Road 408 in Orange County for miles.

The crash, which involved four cars and included a tractor-trailer, occurred on SR-408 west at Exit 11A for Rosalind Avenue.

Orlando Fire Rescue said seven patients were transported, three of them being trauma alerts. 

Westbound lanes of SR 408 were closed as the investigation continued. Traffic was being rerouted at Mills Avenue from westbound SR 408, causing backups for miles.

Two lanes were reopened just before 4:30 p.m.
