Grinch steals Ocala family's Christmas gifts

Burglar also makes off with TVs, shotgun

OCALA, Fla. – A man returning to his Ocala home discovered that thieves stole several items, including most of his family's Christmas presents, deputies said.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home on 84th Terrace Road in Ocala for a report of a burglary.

The homeowner said several TVs, a shotgun and almost all his family's presents under their Christmas tree missing, according to the Sheriff's Office.  The Christmas tree was also knocked over, deputies said.

It's not known how much the presents were worth, but the other items were worth an estimated $1,800, according to sheriff's officials.

Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to call the Sheriff's Office.
