Man arrested for stealing Walmart steaks, stuffing them in pants, Volusia cops say

DELTONA, Fla. – A Volusia County man was arrested after deputies say he stuffed steaks he had stolen from Walmart down his pants and walked out of the store.

Jason Viera, 40, has been charged with petit theft in the Friday afternoon incident at the Walmart on Howland Boulevard.

Deputies said Viera put the grocery items in his cart and then took a rib-eye steak, strip steak and two T-bone steaks, valued at $60,  and shoved them into his pants.

Viera then walked out of the store, where he was confronted by Walmart employees.

Deputies booked Viera into the Volusia County Jail.
