Orlando police search for candy burglar in College Park

Thief broke into Dollar Tree, stole Twix, Crunch bars, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police are searching for the culprit who broke into the College Park Dollar Tree and stole candy.

Police said the robbery was reported by a passerby on Sunday morning at the store on Edgewater Drive and Yates Street.

The manager was called and arrived at the store to find the front of the store's glass shattered and a box of Crunch candy bars and a box of Twix candy bar missing, according to police.

Police said at some point overnight, the culprit used a green concrete chunk to break into the glass front door.

No suspect description was immediately available.

The damage to the store was estimated to be $2,000 and the stolen candy was valued at $45.
