Christmas Day fire destroys Ormond Beach family's home, fire officials say

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – A house fire has displaced a family of four on Christmas Day, according to the Ormond Beach Fire Department.

Fire officials said the blaze ignited just after midnight on Thursday at the home on Wheatfield Place.

The fire was contained, but destroyed the family's possessions and the home is a complete loss, according to officials.

Officials said the fire is not considered suspicious. No injuries were reported, as the house was empty at the time of the fire.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
