1 hurt in crash involving unoccupied Seminole deputy patrol car

FHP: Traffic along SB lanes of SR-417 diverted

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – One person was taken to the hospital after a crash Sunday involving an unoccupied patrol car, troopers said.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the car involved in the crash was a marked Seminole County Sheriff's Office vehicle that not occupied at the time.

A condition was not given for the person who was taken to South Seminole Hospital.

Troopers said traffic along the southbound lanes of State Road 417 was being diverted off onto Lake Mary Boulevard until the scene cleared.

The crash was related to a fatal boating accident involving five people Sunday night on Lake Jesup.
