Body found in wooded area of Daytona Beach, police say

Daytona Beach police: Worker cutting grass discovers body

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Police are investigating after a worker who was cutting grass in a wooded area of Daytona Beach discovered a body.

The investigation began around 1:42 p.m. Monday in the wooded area near 810 N. Clyde Morris Blvd.

Daytona Beach police said the body was badly decomposed. Although the body has not been identified, police said the body is possibly that of a white male who had on jeans, boots and no shirt.

There were no obvious signs of foul play. Police said a medical examiner arrived at the scene after 3 p.m. Monday.

No other details were provided.
