Missing sex offender arrested in Orange County, denied bond
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A sex offender who was on the run in Orange County for two weeks was arrested and denied bond on Sunday morning.
Angel Rodriguez, 30, disappeared after cutting off his GPS monitoring device about three months ago, but Florida Department of Law Enforcement did not find out he was missing until a few weeks ago, according to officials.
Rodriguez was convicted in 2012 on child molestation and child pornography possession charges.
A judge denied Rodriguez bond. It's not clear where investigators tracked him down.
