Osceola deputies seek missing Georgia woman visiting Central Fla.

Maxine May in Central Fla. with family last seen Sunday morning

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Deputies are searching for an 80-year-old woman who was last seen Sunday morning.

Georgia resident Maxine May was last seen at 7:45 a.m. Sunday by family members at 2900 Parkway Blvd. in Kissimmee.

May is visiting the Central Florida area with her family. The family went to attractions in the area, but May did not go with them, deputies said.

Instead, May told family members she was going to get her hair done at a local salon, but the family is unsure of the location, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

When the family returned to the hotel room at 6 p.m. Sunday, May was not there. The family reported her missing to deputies at 7:40 p.m. Sunday.

May is described by the Sheriff's Office as an 80-year old white woman who is 5-foot-1, 95 pounds, and has red hair and hazel eyes. Deputies said she was last seen wearing a black cashmere sweater, floral print pants and reading glasses.

May may be driving her 2005 silver, four-door Lexus with a Georgia license plate. Deputies said the right front bumper has a scratch and there is a Marietta County Club Homeowner sticker on the top-left corner of the rear window.

The Sheriff's Office said May takes blood pressure medication, but she does not have the medication with her. She may only have a small amount of cash in her possession, deputies said.

Anyone who has seen May or knows her whereabouts is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222.
