Driver arrested after pulling gun on woman in road rage incident, Orlando police say

Cops: Man held gun against woman's head


ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orange County judge on Wednesday denied bond for a man linked to a casea of road rage.

Robert Walter Brandenburg, 53, was arrested after police say he pulled a gun on a woman, placing the gun to her head. 

Orlando police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

The woman claims she was driving behind Brandenburg, and both of them were turning off Edgewater Drive to head eastbound on Par Street.  She says Brandenburg turned into the inside lane while she turned into the outside lane of Par Street.

She claims Brandenburg wanted to merge, and when she slowed down to let him, he stopped his car and blocked her from going any farther.

She says Brandenburg got out of his car pointing a gun at her telling her, "Back off my (expletive).  Don't get so close to me!"

She replied, "I didn't realize it was a merge."

She said he continued to yell at her and approached her car, which had the driver's side window down.

She said he pressed the gun against her head and said, "How'd you like that?  Bang!  Bang!"

The woman said she apologized to Brandenburg, who got back in his vehicle and drove away.

She took down his license plate number, which led police to his home to arrest him.

Brandenburg was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, armed burglary of a conveyance, reckless display of a firearm and open display of a firearm.
