Police make arrest in DeLand gas station shooting

Man charged with attempted murder

DeLAND, Fla. – DeLand police have made an arrest on Thursday in a gas station shooting that injured at least one person last month.

Jeremy Thomas has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

About eight to 10 shots were fired at the Right Fuel at 430 E. New York Ave. on Jan. 20.

Thomas was on probation when the shooting occurred and a judge denied his bond on Thursday afternoon.
