Arrest made in Orange County robberies

Suspect confesses to committing 5 robberies, officials say


ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An arrest has been made in a string of Orange County robberies.

Khristopher Campos was taken into custody Friday night after Robbery Squad detectives got an anonymous tip from someone who recognized Campos from media coverage, said the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Campos confessed to committing all five armed robberies which occurred early Friday morning at the Cumberland Farms at 10526 E. Colonial Drive, the Kangaroo Express at 10001 Lake Underhill Road, the Hess station on 7237 Curry Ford Road, Goodies Food Mart on 1700 Sun Vista Way and the Sunoco on 324 Dean Road.

Meanwhile, the Sheriff's Office said detectives are developing information that could lead to a second arrest.

No employees were hurt in the armed robberies.
