Aubrey Clark was struck last month on Clarke Road near Silver Star Road while riding home from school.  She died Thursday night, according to a Facebook page dedicated in her honor.

"It is with deep sadness that we must say that Aubrey's family had to make the very difficult decision to remove Aubrey from life support last night. She is now the Angel watching down on all of us. We ask that the prayers keep coming in for the family in their time of need. We also ask for continued support with the Fund Raiser Sunday the 8th. We are doing it in her honor and as a Celebration of Life....so please spread the word," the Facebook post said.

Lastevie Howard, 40, was arrested on charges of reckless driving and leaving the scene of a crash.  He has since bonded out of jail.

Police said Howard drove for about a half a mile after the crash, passing on a chance to return to the site of the wreck.

On Friday, Lt. Mike Bryant with the Ocoee Police Department told Local 6 he is working with the Office of the State Attorney to decide if additional charges will be filed against Howard.
"We all have children we all feel the pain," he said. "We know that everybody wants to see something happen here."
Friends and classmates of Aubrey delivered flowers and stuffed animals to a memorial that grew throughout the afternoon at the crash site on Clarke Road.
"Every day this mother is going to be looking for this child to come home, and there's no knock on the door," said Cheryl Beazer.

The Celebration of Life is being held at Mulberry Street Bar and Grill on Avalon Park Boulevard from noon to 6 p.m.
