Orlando, Orange County robberies investigated

7 stores hit in crime spree, officials say

ORLANDO, Fla. – At least seven robberies, all of which may be linked, occurred early Friday in the same area of Orange County.

Police said two stores were robbed in Orlando, and there were three armed robberies listed by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. 

All the robberies occurred south of State Road 408 and east of State Road 436.

The Orlando robberies occurred at the Pershing Food Mart at 5800 Pershing Avenue and a convenience store at 5821 Curry Ford Road.

The Orange County robberies took place at 5:29 a.m. at the Cumberland Farms at 10526 East Colonial Drive; 5:36 a.m. at the Kangaroo Express at 10001 Lake Underhill Road; 6:50 a.m. at the Hess at 7237 Curry Ford Road; 6:53 a.m. at the Goodies Food Mart at 7600 Sun Vista Way; and 7:11 a.m. at the Sunoco at 324 Dean Road.

No one was injured in the Orange County robberies, said deputies, who added that they're searching for two suspects in the crimes.

A worker at Goodies Food Mart told Local 6 that a man displayed a gun and demanded money before fleeing in a getaway car.

Deputies said the man changed sweatshirts in between robberies. The man was spotted on surveillance video in a "Georgia" sweatshirt in the Cumberland Farms robbery and a "NASA" sweatshirt in the Hess gas station and Goodies Food Mart robberies.
