SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. – Volunteers hauled an ailing, cold-stressed manatee calf and her 1,600-pound mother from a Satellite Beach canal Monday morning.
Both manatees were lifted into a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission truck and transported to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo for medical treatment, Local 6 news partner Florida Today reported.
