COCOA, Fla. – Cocoa police are searching for the driver of a stolen truck that ended up fully submerged in the Indian River.

Police told Local 6 on Thursday morning that they received a call from a witness who saw the truck go into the water at Lee Wenner Park.

Officers jumped into the water and smashed out a window of the truck but didn't find anyone inside.

It was later determined that the truck was stolen, and it's not believed anyone went into the water with the vehicle.

The truck will be towed from the river.
