Portion of Orlando elementary school evacuated

Odor alarm sounds at Oak Hill Elementary School

ORLANDO, Fla. – A portion of an Orlando elementary school was evacuated Thursday morning.

Oak Hill Elementary School, located on South Hiawassee Road south of State Road 408, was evacuated after an automatic odor alarm went off near the cafeteria, Orange County fire officials said.  Students and staff in that area were forced to leave, officials said.

Fire officials said no fire, smoke or haze was discovered.  Students were later allowed to return to class.

No injuries were reported.
