Some Central Florida areas will have coldest night of year


ORLANDO, Fla. – Some areas will have their coldest night so far this winter season Friday night.

Marion and Flagler counties are both under a Freeze Warning until 9 a.m. Saturday.

Look for the overnight low in Orlando to drop to 39. Some areas will have patchy frost just before sunrise. The low in Ocala will be 29, the low in Melbourne will be 39.

Saturday will be sunny, but cool, said Local 6 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sorrells. The high will max out in the low 60s.

Sunday we bounce back a little better with a high of 65 and a low of 45.

For Presidents Day Monday the temperatures to 70 for the daytime high.

Big changes come around again on Tuesday. A strong cold front brings us a 50 percent chance of rain and a return of cold air.

The high on Tuesday will be in the mid 70s and on Wednesday it will be in the low 60s.
