ORLANDO, Fla. – A man with a head injury said he was shot when an argument broke out at a gathering near downtown Orlando, according to police.

The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of West Jackson Street.

Orlando police said several shots were fired during an argument between two other people, and the man claimed he was struck in the head.  He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim said he did not known the gunman.

Police said it's unclear if the victim was struck by a bullet or was injured while running away as shots rang out.

The shooter was described as a black man, about 6 feet 4 inches tall.  He was wearing a blue shirt.
