ORLANDO, Fla. – Filming for the "Sharknado" sequel, "Vortex 3," begins Monday morning on a soundstage at Universal Orlando.
This will be the first time local actors will assume their roles as soldiers, Orlando residents and other roles for the movie.

Local 6 spoke with some of the production staff, who said the film is using a ton of local talent.
They said it's unlike any other film they've worked on and that some of it will be filmed in the middle of Universal Orlando's theme park, while the park is open for business, which adds a challenge.
Other scenes will be filmed on-location in Orlando and Daytona Beach, where they will include NASCAR.
