Woman stalked, threaten to kill ex on social media, Volusia deputies say

Report: Woman upset over ex leaving her to reconcile with wife

DELTONA, Fla. – A Volusia County woman was arrested on charges of aggravated stalking after deputies say she used social media to threaten to kill her ex-boyfriend after he left her to get back together with his wife.

Tanika Hicks, 22, was arrested on Monday, about a month-and-a-half after the victim, who she was having a sexual relationship with for five months, cut ties with her to reconcile with his wife, according to deputies.

Deputies said Hicks made the threats on social media, drove past the victim's home several times and threaten to damage his vehicles.

According to deputies, Hicks wrote on Facebook, " ... I love so (expletive) hard. But I retaliate even (expletive) harder," and also said that she was going to kill the victim.

Hicks also called and texted the victim after being told to stop and also tagged the victim's wife on multiple social media posts, deputies said.

On Sunday, Hicks was given a verbal warning to stop contacting the victim by deputies, but she was uncooperative and hung up the phone.

Deputies said Hicks continued to call the victim and post on social media about him after the warning.

Hicks was arrested and booked into jail on Monday. She is being held on no bond.
