ORLANDO, Fla. – A mobile home was destroyed by a fire Thursday afternoon, but firefighters were able to save one of the family's dogs.

Zeus was rescued from the fire at the home on Beggs Road in Orlando at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Orange County Fire Rescue said flames were through the roof and the home was gutted in the fire.

One dog died in the fire, officials said.

Zeus was rescued and appeared to be shaken up, but only suffering a singed nose.

It's not clear what caused the fire.
