Fire destroys $6 million in luxury motor coaches in Sanford

Cause of fire under investigation

SANFORD, Fla. – Firefighters spent 90 minutes battling a blaze that burned $6 million in RVs at a luxury dealership in Sanford.

The fire broke out early Monday along Orange Boulevard near Interstate 4 at a lot that houses RVs with Florida Luxury Coach and Excalibur Coach.

Six RVs were burned in the fire, which was reported around 4:30 a.m. by a passerby who spotted flames and smoke coming from the business.

Twenty-three fire units were called to the dealership, and firefighters worked for more than an hour to get the blaze under control. 

All six RVs were destroyed in the fire, causing an estimated $5 million to $6 million in damage.  No buildings on the property suffered serious damage.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials said the blaze does not to be suspicious in nature.
