FHP says Daniel Romano died at scene

ORLANDO, Fla. – A motorcyclist died in a crash Friday morning in Orlando, according to troopers.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Daniel Romano, 30, of Orlando, was headed southbound on Orange Avenue at Wetherbee Road near Orlando International Airport when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected. 

Romano, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Nearby roads were closed as troopers investigated.
