Sunny, hot day on tap in Central Florida

High pressure is dominating the forecast for the next few days, as Monday heats up to the mid-80s.

Monday will be warm with a high of 85. The average high is 78.

Skies will be mostly sunny on Monday with a light north wind that will bring more dry air, said Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges.

Rain chances stay out of the picture until a weak front moves in Thursday.

Rain chances will be at 20 percent for Thursday.

"Nice and dry for the first day of spring on Friday with a high in the mid-80s," Bridges said.

Rain chances return by Sunday at 40 percent.
