MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – The Coast Guard is responding to the scene of a boat on fire in the Indian River Lagoon near the Merritt Island Causeway.
Steve Trapp, a witness from Merritt Island, said he saw smoke just after 1 p.m.
"It was blazing when I came across the bridge," he said.
Local 6 News partner Florida Today reports smoke from the fire can be seen from as far away as Cocoa Beach.
Cocoa Police said the boat hit a power line near Lee Wenner Park in Cocoa Village. There were no injuries to the people on board the boat.
