Cops investigate bomb threats in Ocala at mall, bank

No devices found, authorities say

OCALA. Fla. – Ocala police investigated two separate bomb threats on Monday afternoon at Paddock Mall and a nearby bank, but no devices were found.

Police said the first bomb threat was reported at Paddock Mall on SW College Road, prompting the evacuation of the mall. No device was found and the scene was cleared at 1 p.m. when another bomb threat was reported.

Ocala Fire Rescue responded to Alarion Bank Centre, located on 1 NE 1st Avenue and found no device.

It's not clear if the bomb threats were related.
