POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A man arrested last month for hooking up a scanning device known as a skimmer to an ATM is wanted again for the same crime, according to Polk County deputies.

Investigators said they identified Alexandru Tomescu, 19, as the man captured on surveillance video in January hooking up a skimmer to an ATM at a Davenport bank.

Tomescu was arrested in Osceola County in February for the same crime, in addition to drug charges, after a Fun Spot employee recognized him from photos displayed on TV news reports, deputies say.

Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 863-298-6200.
