Beachside shop cleared after bomb scare in New Smyrna Beach

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Authorities have cleared a New Smyrna Beach powersports shop on Wednesday after a bomb scare.

The threat was reported in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue in New Smyrna Beach just after 8 a.m., according to deputies.

Police said the caller claimed to have placed 10 bombs around Paradise Power Sports and made a threat to law enforcement that any officers that responded would be shot. Officers said they didn't encounter any threats on scene.

Police said nothing was found and the business will reopen in a few hours.
