Teenage brothers accused of shooting pellet gun at Kissimmee officer

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Two teenage brothers stand accused of shooting at a Kissimmee police officer.

Kelvin Lopez-Beerbower, 18,  and Ruben Lopez-Beerbower, 19, bonded out of jail after police said they shot a pellet gun at an officer.

According to a police report, an officer was sitting in his car on March 20 when the brothers and another teenager drove by in a black convertible Mustang and shot at the officer.

The officer was not hit.

The officer requested backup and when officers caught up to the Mustang, two long-barreled rifle-style pellet guns and pellets were found inside the vehicle.

According to the report, Ruben Lopez-Beerbiwer shrugged his shoulders when police asked why he shot at the officer..

All three were placed under arrest.

Ruben Lopez-Beerbower was charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, while Kelvin Lopez-Beerbower and the other teen were charged with criminal conspiracy aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
