Man sought in New Smyrna Beach bank robbery


NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – New Smyrna Beach police are searching for the man they say robbed a bank on Monday morning.

Police said the man walked into the TD Bank on State Road 44 at 9:30 a.m. and passed a letter to the teller demanding money. 

The man then left and went to a Circle K nearby and changed his clothes before getting into an older, possibly a Chrysler, sedan which was silver, gold, or beige in color, according to police.

Police described the culprit as a white male 25 to 40 years old with short dark hair, thin-medium build, full beard and mustache and tattoos on his right arm. He was wearing a black Famous Stars and Straps brand ball cap, pink sunglasses, dark colored long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, gray sneakers and carrying a black backpack, according to the report.
