Woman carjacked outside Little Caesar's in Poinciana

Osceola County deputies search for suspect

POINCIANA, Fla. – Osceola County sheriff's detectives are searching for a man who carjacked a woman late Monday in the parking lot of a pizza shop.

The carjacking occurred around 10:30 p.m. outside Little Caesar's at 369 Cypress Parkway in Poinciana.

According to Osceola County sheriff's deputies, the woman said she was leaning inside her car when a man approached her from behind and demanded that she drop her keys.  The woman complied and ran from the area as the man drove away in her vehicle, which was later found abandoned in Polk County.

The woman was not injured.

Personal items belonging to the woman were missing from the car, deputies said.

The carjacker was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head.
